Rules & Game Play

The D-Up Tournament is a multi-entry, season-long fantasy football tournament.

Eligible Players

All NFL players who are listed on their teams official depth charts as Defensive Line (DL), Linebacker (LB), or Defensive Back (DB).

Defensive Line include Defensive Tackles, Nose Tackles, and Defensive Ends. Linebacker includes Inside Linebackers and Outside Linebackers. Defensive Back includes Cornerbacks and Safeties.

Draft

D-Up drafts consist of six (6) rounds, implementing a third (3rd) round reversal, structured as a snake draft.

Entrants choose players through a snake draft with a third-round reversal. In this setup, the entrant with the first pick in Round 1 will subsequently have the last pick in Round 2, the last pick in Round 3, the first pick in Round 4, the last pick in Round 5, and the first pick in Round 6.

Number of Teams: Ten (10) teams participate in each draft.

Draft Position

Draft positions will be drawn at random when a league of ten (10) is filled.

Entry Fee

Entrants are required to pay an entry fee of $10.00 per entry to enter the D-Up Tournament

Multiple Entries

FastDraft sets a limit on the maximum number of entries an individual can submit to a single contest. For D-Up, the limit is 3% of the total contest entries or 150 teams, whichever is lower. For more details, visit the FastDraft lobby or the specific contest details page.

Turbo Mode

Turbo Mode is FastDraft’s multi-entry tool. Entrants submit a custom player rankings list, and then request a number of teams to be drafted. The entrant will then seamlessly draft teams based on that custom player rankings list.

Number of Teams

The D-Up Tournament will consist of 1,110 total entries.

Tournament Entry Close

Entry to the D-Up Tournament will close before the start of the NFL's Week 1 season each year. Therefore, if the NFL season's timing changes for any reason, the tournament entry deadline will also adjust accordingly. For more information please see the D-Up Tournament contest details in the lobby.

Team Management

Once entrants draft and assign Captain Boosters, their rosters are set—there are no waivers, substitutions, or trades during the contest period.

Prizes

The D-Up Tournament is a guaranteed contest. All prizes are guaranteed even if the tournament does not reach capacity before the tournament entry closes. For more information, see the Prize Breakdown section below.

FastDraft uses official league statistics provided by reputable partners and only includes statistics from sporting events the relevant league deems to be official. If a league declares a game "postponed" or "suspended", then the statistics generated in the sporting event before that point will count toward the contest. Any statistics generated when the sporting event takes place or resumes will count only if it occurs during the relevant contest duration.

Best Ball

Lineups are automatically optimized for each team each week. At the end of the week, the highest-scoring players are automatically inserted into the starting four (4) lineup positions

Roster Requirements

You are allowed to draft any number of players from each position including Defensive Line (DL), Linebacker (LB), or Defensive Back (DB). There are no offensive players or team defenses in the D-Up Tournament. Only four individual players from a particular NFL team may be selected in a single draft.

Starting Lineup

At the end of each NFL Week, FastDraft will automatically select the entrants' four (4) highest scoring players with no position restrictions and designate these four players as “starters” to create the optimal lineup each week. Only the four highest scoring players' statistics each week are counted toward the entrants' accumulated tournament score.

Lineup Edits

Entrants may not edit Tournament rosters after they are drafted. No waivers or FAAB bidding will be conducted during the tournament duration.

Captain Boosters

Each 6-player team is awarded four (4) Captain Boosters at the conclusion of each draft. Captain Boosters are multipliers that increase the fantasy point output of each player who is assigned a booster position.

Captain Booster Multipliers

The four (4) Captain Booster Positions are allocated as follows:

Captain Booster Assignment

By default, Captain Boosters are automatically assigned to drafted players by draft position:

Upon the completion of each draft, entrants will have the opportunity to modify the default booster assignments. Editing or assigning Captain Boosters can be done up to the lock date and time. For more information regarding booster lock dates and times please see the D-Up Tournament contest details in the lobby.

Ties

If a tie occurs, entrants who are tied will evenly divide the combined prize allocation for the corresponding finishing positions they share. For instance, if two entrants tie for first place, they will equally split the combined prize for first and second place. Similarly, if four entrants tie for second place, they will evenly divide the combined prize for second, third, fourth, and fifth place.

Duration

Regular Season NFL weeks 1-17

Standings and Tournament Placing

Standing will be determined by total fantasy points scored between NFL Week 1 and NFL Week 17 of the NFL regular season. There are no head-to-head matchups. This is a total points only tournament.
